What are the differences between men and women’s feet?
Women’s feet on average have a higher arch, wider toe box and a narrower heel creating a more triangular shape compared to men’s feet.

Why are they only available for women?
We get asked this question a lot. Since the industry is prioritising mens, we at QLVR are putting women first, crafting shoes with the female athlete in mind, offering fit, comfort and performance specifically tailored for women. However we will be offering men’s fit in future.

Do you mean there's no difference in buying shoes for women and men?
What we are saying is that our shoes are designed specifically to fit a women’s foot, whereas the majority of large brands manufacture women’s shoes on the same tooling as their men’s shoes, meaning that a lot of top brand women’s athletic shoes are not designed specifically for the shape of a woman’s foot.
We have decided to use our new fast fit QLVR wing fit technology to focus on building correct fitting athletic shoes for women.

Will you be offering bigger sizes in the future?

What is the fit like?
QLVR footwear runs ‘true to size’ and is based on a regular width fitting (not a wide fitting).
We do add an extra 12mm to the foot length to give your toes extra space to move.
Last updated: July 23, 2024 04:15
How do I choose my size?
Go with your true size to get that snug locked in-feeling or if you prefer a more loose feeling, or if you like to wear thick socks, go up a size.
You can find instructions on how to measure your foot length on our campaign page

Are they good for narrow feet?
We class our shape as a regular fit with a slightly wider toe box but narrower heel compared to standard running shoes. This is because our shoes are engineered around a true women’s specific fit. The good news is that our fit system holds your foot securely at the back which helps prevent your foot from moving back and forth inside the shoe. Our insoles are removable so you will be able to swap them out if you have custom insoles.
Last updated: July 23, 2024 02:38
How much do they weigh?
Based on a UK womens size 6 the shoe weighs 270g.
Last updated: July 23, 2024 02:38
Will they slip off or fall off?
Our patented QLVR wing fit system is designed in a closed ‘laced up’ position, so that once it is on it will instantly give you a secure ‘locked in, laced up’ feeling. The 360 degree zig zag system provides a secure fit all around your foot and yet it can flex to mold to the shape of your foot. The narrower heel design ensures better heel hold to prevent heel slipping and stop your foot from moving back and forth inside the shoe. So to put the shoe on, you place your foot on the rear of the wing (stepping on the back of your shoes like kids do!) and this opens the shoe for you to step in. Then to remove your foot you step the other foot on the rear kick step (see demo videos) which opens the shoe to remove your foot.

Are they good for runners who overpronate?
This is a ‘neutral’ shoe. However our sole does feature a built-up sidewall especially around the arch and heel area which helps with added stability and combined with our QLVR Wing fit system, you’ll find that there is a lot more support in the back half of the shoe compared to regular running shoes. Our insoles are removable so you will be able to swap them out if you have custom insoles.
Last updated: July 23, 2024 02:50
Would they be suitable to wear with orthotics?
The answer is yes. Due to the slip-in and out nature of our design, our earlier test samples had a fixed insole. However, based on our athlete testers feedback, we have re-engineered our shoes to offer a removable insole should you need to swap them out for custom orthotics.
Last updated: July 23, 2024 02:50
How secure are these, being a slip on?
Our patented QLVR wing fit system is designed to give you that laced-up locked-in fit the second you step in. Our fit system and women’s specific shape will hold your foot securely and comfortably, so you shouldn’t experience any slipping while you run or train.
So to put the shoe on, you place your foot on the rear of the wing (stepping on the back of your shoes like kids do!) and this opens the shoe for you to step in. Then to remove your foot you step the other foot on the rear kick step (see demo videos) which opens the shoe to remove your foot.

What is the drop?
Our Running Slipper model is built with a 9mm drop. As this is our debut shoe, we have created a versatile multi training shoe. It is a neutral shoe with a regular fit and a removable insole for personalising your fit. The forefoot stack height is 26mm and the rear foot stack height is 35mm. We do have more styles in the pipeline which includes a more barefoot type minimalistic model, and a racing model so please keep following us for news on new styles.

Are they ok if you need stability trainers?
So, to clarify, this is a ‘neutral’ shoe. However our sole does feature a built-up sidewall especially around the arch and heel area which helps with stability and combined with our QLVR Wing fit system, you’ll find that there is a lot more support in the back half of the shoe compared to regular running shoes.
Last updated: July 23, 2024 04:21
Are you able to add additional support inside?
The answer is yes as the QLVR Running Slipper will have a removable insole which you can replace with your personal orthotics for your personal support requirements. Also, our sole does feature a built-up sidewall especially around the arch and heel area which helps with stability and combined with our QLVR Wing fit system, you’ll find that there is a lot more support in the back half of the shoe compared to regular running shoes.
Last updated: July 23, 2024 04:21
Are they washable?
Our Running Slippers can be machine washed on the cold water setting. We don’t use detergent and please wash separately or not with any sharp items. (We wash them inside a net bag or pillowcase.) So you can keep them looking fabulous!

What makes our shoes so good for running?
Along with the 360 degree QLVR secure fit system, double layer of foam cushioning, full length rubber sole…. It’s the Pebax® Springboard that’s sandwiched between the twin layered ‘Dandelite’ foam midsoles. It’s designed to help boost natural propulsion and literally give you spring in every step.
Last updated: July 23, 2024 04:21
How are they for slip resistance?
As for slip resistance, QLVRs have a full-cover rubber tread with no foam exposed to the ground to give a super secure leading edge, just like the tyre on a car, so no slip issues to contend with.
Last updated: July 23, 2024 04:21
How are they for standing stability in gym training?
Although they’re designed for both running and light resistance training, the unique wavy midsole in the arch is designed to compress when stationary and allows the foot to be flat to the ground when standing still during workouts such as balancing or light weights. At only 270g, they’re super lightweight too, with a bouncy spring underfoot for superior comfort.

Last updated: July 23, 2024 04:27
Do you offer refunds?
Unfortunately we are not able to refund you. The nature of a Kickstarter campaign is that ‘pledges’ are made to support the project and bring something new to life, in exchange for ‘rewards’. After pledging to support a project in reaching its funding target, if that project goes ahead, Kickstarter would not refund the pledge. In exchange for their support, the brand offers the backer a large discount and the opportunity to be one of the first in the world to receive the new invention/product. If they are not to your liking why not gift them to a friend or relative.

Last updated: July 23, 2024 04:27

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
